Procurement & Supply Chain Supervisor / Assistant Manager
Job Responsibilities :
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation with suppliers for raw materials, chemicals, and packaging.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance benchmarking.
- Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Oversee material planning based on production schedules, customer orders, and sales forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stocks, and usage patterns to optimize stock control.
- Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring proper handling, labeling (MSDS, FIFO), and accurate stock records.
- Logistics & Shipping Coordination
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments (local and overseas) to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee customs clearance, import / export permits, and freight cost optimization.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and internal stakeholders for smooth operations.
- Costing, Reporting & Compliance
- Review and present monthly supply chain reports (KPI, cost analysis, stock reconciliation).
- Track procurement savings, supplier comparison, and consumption trends for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Identify risks in procurement and logistics processes and implement mitigation measures.
- Process Improvement & Team Leadership
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement, inventory, and logistics processes.
- Support system enhancements, digitalization, and automation of supply chain workflows.
- Supervise, guide, and develop team members to achieve departmental goals.
Job Requirement :
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.Proficiency in English, Chinese, and Malay (spoken and written) is essential.Minimum 3–4 years of experience in supply chain management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and prepare detailed reports.Knowledge of chemical safety, MSDS requirements, and regulatory compliance.In-depth knowledge of supply chain practices, ERP systems, and market trends.Assist management with strategic projects and other tasks as assigned.Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
