About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead our sales strategy, manage a growing team, and build strong relationships with clients across both public and private sectors. You'll take full ownership of the sales function — from pipeline development to deal closure — while working directly with municipalities, contractors, and industrial clients. This role is ideal for someone who understands the field and knows how to win in it.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for flood control, irrigation and (industrial) water sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Drive business development with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and industrial clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Guide pricing strategies, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with technical teams to tailor solutions to client needs
- Review and approve technical proposals, cost estimates, and system specifications
- Ensure smooth handovers from sales to engineering / project implementation
- Oversee client communications throughout the project lifecycle
- Expand the customer base and identify new market opportunities
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry shifts
- Represent the company at site visits, trade shows, and industry events
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and forecasts
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all sales activities and team performance
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Environmental EngineeringStrong technical abilityMinimum 5 years of sales experience in flood control, irrigation, or related infrastructure fieldsStrong understanding of flood mitigation systems, industrial water control, and irrigation technologiesProven leadership skills and experience managing sales teamsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilitiesWillingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and eventsMust have own transport
