FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Manager-in-charge and Senior General Manager, the service engineer's responsibilities include repairing faults, servicing equipment, creating preventative maintenance strategies, and updating user manuals. You should be knowledgeable about Shimadzu's range of products and provide friendly, efficient service at all times and exhibit resourcefulness as well as superb active listening and troubleshooting skills.
Your responsibilities are as follows.
- Using various strategies and tools to provide effective solutions to customers' concerns.
- Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
- Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.
- Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures.
- Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.
- Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use.
- Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements.
- Monitoring inventory and reordering spare parts when needed.
- Conducting research and attending workshops to remain abreast of industry developments.
- Writing reports and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
- You may also be required to liaise with other departments to deliver the highest standards of sales administration, performance, and improvements through excellent leadership and embodiment of the values of the organization. Assist to ensure the effective delivery of assigned products which are handled or will be handled by Shimadzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected by Shimadzu Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. are understood and met.Ensure that all local regulations guidelines from AELB / LPTA, MDA and GDPMD standards are understood and met.Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.Always maintain a professional appearance and manner, consistent with client and company expectations, and in doing so help to promote the image of the Company.Set a good example to colleagues by observing and obeying all company rules and regulations, complying with all regulations, and safeguarding Company property.AR Collection - To assist the sales and service department in AR collection and overall collection monitoring.Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.Reporting - To prepare weekly / monthly report on service-related matters and outstation trips.To maintain close liaison and co-operation with sales and service departments and customers to achieve company's goals and objectives.To assist and provide administrative support in operational matters.Maintaining and updating of customers / End-User List, and all service-related matters.OTHERS

Educational Background : Degree / Diploma qualification in Biomedical engineering, or bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Medical Technology or related field.Experience : Minimum of 1 -2 years working experience in dealing with healthcare professionals and medical industry.Language Proficiency : Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.Required Skill(s) : Self driven, persistent, able to work under stress and continue to improve on performance.Possess own transport, able to travel outstation frequently or as when needed.
