Overview

Provenir is expanding in Malaysia. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Sales Manager to lead growth in the Malaysia market, partnering with banks, fintechs, and financial institutions, and supported by a global team of experts in Data Science, Solutions Consulting, and Professional Services.

Why this role matters

This is not a typical sales position. You will be responsible for building our presence in the Malaysia market, shaping conversations, opening new opportunities, and growing long-term partnerships. You will be the trusted advisor helping clients address challenges such as fraud prevention, scaling digital onboarding, and AI-driven credit decisioning. The role offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission, remote-friendly arrangements with travel for client meetings and regional collaboration, and the chance to work with leading banks, fintechs, and payment providers in Malaysia.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead business development and client engagement for the Malaysia region, shaping opportunities and driving adoption of our decisioning platform.
  • Partner with banks, FinTechs, and financial institutions to identify challenges, frame solutions, and deliver measurable commercial value.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Solutions Consulting, and Professional Services to progress opportunities from first conversation to closure, ensuring a seamless transition into delivery.
  • Open doors, shape conversations, and build lasting client trust through a consultative, commercially sharp approach.
  • Navigate complex organizations and translate opportunities into structured, scalable engagements.
  • Work remotely with occasional travel for regional team meet-ups and client meetings in Malaysia.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities across banks, fintechs, and adjacent industries.
  • Lead early-stage conversations with prospects, shaping use cases and framing business value before handing over to presales and professional services.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, driving full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Develop account strategies balancing short-term revenue with long-term partnerships and multi-product expansion.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, roundtables, and client workshops as a thought leader in risk decisioning, customer management, and AI-driven innovation.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Professional Services, and Product teams to ensure client needs are understood and delivered with precision.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and solution roadmap in Malaysia.
  • Foster long-term client relationships built on trust and value delivery.
  • Strive to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets while driving adoption of Provenir’s solutions in the region.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • 8–12 years of overall sales experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or data-driven platforms.
  • Demonstrated success over at least 3 years selling to financial services or fintech clients in Malaysia, ideally with Tier 1–2 banks, large non-bank financial institutions, or high-growth fintechs.
  • Seniority and presence to build trusted relationships with C-level executives, combined with a hunter mindset to open opportunities and grow from the ground up.
  • Knowledge of at least two of the following areas : credit risk, fraud, customer onboarding, or collections, with ability to contextualize within Provenir’s value proposition.

  • Experience with land-and-expand strategies, securing initial wins, deepening client adoption across multiple products, and embedding the platform as a long-term partner.
  • Ability to map client organizations and influence multiple stakeholders to broaden footprint and maximize lifetime value.

  • Active in cultivating partnerships with data providers, system integrators, and industry bodies to accelerate growth.
  • Position Provenir as a key player in shaping the future of decisioning and AI in Malaysia.
