Renowned for our handmade fishing lures, we have grown into Malaysia's leading specialist snakehead fishing equipment brand, serving over 600 dealers and a thriving community of more than 400,000 loyal followers on social media.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead our dealer sales operations and support our growth across Malaysia's fishing tackle market. In this role, you will build a deep understanding of our brand, product line and dealer network strategies through structured and hands-on training conducted within our headquarters. You will lead a team of sales executives, develop effective dealer management systems and drive revenue growth through strategic sales planning, incentive programs and market expansion initiatives. This is a key leadership role requiring strong people management, sales execution and a deep understanding of dealer-based distribution within the fishing industry.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manager will oversee and execute EXP Fishing's dealer sales strategy across Malaysia. This role is responsible for managing dealer relationships, growing market share and aligning sales performance with company revenue and profit goals. The Sales Manager leads the sales team, sets targets, monitors performance and collaborates closely with the management, product and marketing teams to ensure smooth communication of market insights and sales results.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales strategies aligned with company revenue and profit goals.
  • Set sales targets, monitor KPI and adjust strategies to achieve consistent growth and market penetration.
  • Propose dealer discounts, incentive structures and seasonal promotions to management for approval.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Manage offline marketing budget and ensure efficient use of resources.

2.     Brand Management & Communications

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all dealers.
  • Oversee offline marketing material, print, events and other offline advertising.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to develop visuals, product catalogs and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with dealers and partners to enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
  • 3.     Dealer Management & Market Development

  • Manage relationships with existing dealers, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and onboard new dealers in untapped regions to expand distribution coverage.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, competitor activities and customer preferences to support product and marketing decisions.
  • 4.     Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives, setting clear expectations and providing training.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, sales meetings, and field coaching to ensure the team meets objectives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales department.
  • 5.     Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare accurate monthly sales reports for management, including revenue, profit, and market share insights.
  • Analyze sales trends, dealer performance, and product movement to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Work closely with the product team to communicate market feedback and suggest improvements.
  • 6.     Operational & Cross-Functional Support

  • Coordinate with warehouse, marketing, and product teams to ensure timely delivery and dealer support.
  • Support dealer events, fishing tournaments and trade shows.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing and credit terms. Work closely with sales and distribution teams to support dealers' marketing needs.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales.
  • Strong preference for candidates with fishing industry sales experience; otherwise, must have proven dealer sales success in FMCG or consumer goods
  • Proven track record in dealer management, market development and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and translate into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, project management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for dealer visits and events
  • Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and preferably Chinese.
  • Passionate about fishing or outdoor lifestyle is an added advantage.
