About the role
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our team at LONGI MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. (SERENDAH) in Serendah, Selangor. As an Equipment Senior Engineer, this is a full-time position responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the systems that support our core equipment and machinery, contributing to the efficiency and innovation of our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the equipment maintenance manager to quickly resolve major on-site equipment problems and standardize promotion and training to improve equipment performance.
- Ensure equipment operation rate, equipment integrity rate, and fragmentation rate meet established standards, with zero safety incidents.
- Develop, formulate, and optimize SOP documentation for equipment within the designated area and efficiently arrange maintenance tasks.
- Assist in planning and implementing measures to enhance the operational efficiency of production equipment.
- Oversee equipment restart, troubleshoot abnormalities, report failures, perform daily inspections, and manage spare parts requirements.
- Maintain stable equipment performance by implementing action plans, executing scheduled maintenance, and keeping idle equipment in optimal condition.
- Develop annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance plans and supervise their implementation.
- Manage daily equipment operations within the assigned area and promptly address major abnormalities.
- Lead initiatives to improve production equipment operations while ensuring zero safety accidents.
- Evaluate improvements, enforce 6S standards, manage spare parts inventory, and minimize employee turnover.
- Lead equipment transformation, improvement, and implementation projects to resolve defects.
- Oversee the management and daily implementation of 5S standards in the area.
- Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors efficiently and effectively.
Job Related Experience and Knowledge
Involved in equipment management for more than 4 yearsExperience in the photovoltaic industry with knowledge of PV equipment principles and TPMExperience operating and maintaining soldering and stringer machines; able to handle abnormalities in front-end equipmentWilling to report for training two months before the production line starts to become familiar with the environment and workflowsEducation and Skills
Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or junior college degree with at least 4 years of relevant work experience; preferably in the same industryManagement experience in the same industry; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; mechanical and electrical knowledgeStrong communication, coordination, and execution skills; able to communicate with all levels of the organizationGood electrical skills and meticulous, logical thinkingWorking Hours
