ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for all management financial performance reporting to the majority shareholders of MCIS (Sanlam) as well as Executive Management Committee and Board of Directors of MCIS. Prepare and be responsible for monthly management reporting to all stakeholders including the Group, Executive Management Committee and Board of Directors of MCIS. Analyze the Company’s current performances against budget and prior years. This includes analyzing actuarial information and relating it to the finance records to provide holistic analysis of the company’s overall performance. Manage reporting timeline to ensure the management reporting is submitted on time, including communicating the timeline effectively within the team and to other teams / departments. Review management reports prepared by the team and provide guidance to the team as well as other department stakeholders based on the reported financial results. Be a key member of the annual budgeting exercise, including consolidating budget results from various departments, seeking clarification on deviation, reviewing and challenging plans submitted by department heads and analyzing cash flow projection performed by the actuary department. Prepare and accountable for tax related submissions which include annual corporate tax returns, SST, WHT, CRS / FATCA, etc. Perform data analytics on policy information to support the team lead / financial controller (FC) / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to make business and operational decisions when necessary. Provide guidance to team members pertaining to management reporting aspects from time to time. Other assignments / research as requested by the Team Lead / Financial Controller / Chief Financial Officer.
