An exciting new role is being created to support the growth of the business, be a part of a fun and dynamic team with fantastic career opportunities The role is focused on all elements of Human Resources, providing you with a scope to work on a National level (with potential for Regional growth), working with regional and global colleagues across Asia as well as at the Head Office in the UK. The role will be fast paced and exciting, including the opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team of our new venture, Carousel & Co.
Your role would be based in our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but could also require travel to various sites across Malaysia such as Genting and Johor.
Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Liaising with job boards for local level, national and international advertising
- Ensuring messaging and creative is on brand and delivers the appropriate message
- Managing and implementing the utilization of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – Vacancy Filler. Uploading and removal of job adverts and ensuring candidates are responded to in a timely manner
- An understanding of Malaysian (and / or Regional) employment legislation
- Develop relationships with managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications (some occasional travel may be required)
- Creating a pipeline of talent by engaging with social media, job boards, agencies
- Execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates
- Screen resumes and applications and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final-offer negotiation
- Leading on recruitment activities that relates to annual or seasonal hiring, such as campus recruitment or career fairs
- Providing advice and support to operations teams on best practice for recruitment
- Arranging and attending as applicable assessment centers, job fairs, local led activity
- Recruitment budget planning with line managers
- Day-to-day recruitment budget management
- Strategic planning of recruitment activity with line managers
- Keeping job descriptions up to date and relevant
Learning and Development
Assist with the implementation of the appraisal processDevelopment / upskilling managers via the progressive appraisal processSupport the performance management process with appropriate training interventions as neededIdentify training needs and source appropriate training, if necessary, devise and deliver internallyTo conduct training / retraining for all new joiners and employeesPay and Benefits
Ensuring payroll notifications are being submitted on time and processed as relevantRegularly conduct benchmarking exercise on company entitlements and implementing agreed recommendations and improvementsDealing with pay queries which are contentiousPeople Operations
Dealing with all aspects of employee relations processes to include but not limited to :On-boarding of new startersPerformance management systemsEmployee well-being and best practiceLegal compliance of all new starters with contracts issuingFirst point of contact of any ER issues in Malaysia and providing solutions for amicable resolutionResponsible for the review of all contractual paperwork to ensure it meets statutory requirementsResponsible for the content of the Employee Handbook in MalaysiaResponsible for reviewing existing HR policies and working with regional team and headquarters in drafting new ones as neededAdvising on any grievance and disciplinary mattersEnsure compliance with data protection requirements and all Company policies as requiredAny ad hoc issues that may arise
