About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef (Western Asian Local Cuisine) to join our team in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Supervising and training a team of junior chefs to uphold the highest standards of food safety and presentation
- Developing and refining innovative recipes that showcase a unique fusion of Western and Asian local cuisines
- Collaborating with the management team to implement new strategies and procedures to enhance kitchen efficiency
- Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Providing exceptional customer service by responding to feedback and addressing any concerns promptly
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership roleProven expertise in preparing and presenting a wide range of Western and Asian local cuisine dishesStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, as well as experience in managing a teamExcellent time management and problem-solving skills to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environmentPassion for innovative culinary techniques and a commitment to continuous learning and developmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive and collaborative team cultureWhat we offer
