Job Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the upkeep, functionality, and safety of all equipment and facilities. This role involves coordinating with contractors and vendors, maintaining inventory levels, managing reports, and supporting team development through training and supervision. The Maintenance Coordinator also plays a critical role in energy-saving initiatives, planning and monitoring project milestones, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop training plans and conduct or facilitate on-the-job training sessions for maintenance team members.
- Promote skill development and safety awareness.
- Delegate maintenance tasks to team members based on skill and availability.
- Coordinate with relevant vendors and service providers to perform specialized tasks.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records of spare parts and general items.
- Monitor PAR stock levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
- Conduct regular and surprise inventory checks to ensure proper stock management.
- Check and update the status of daily work orders and ongoing projects.
- Track project progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain attendance and absence records for the department.
- Submit attendance reports to the HR department in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Schedule regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Ensure maintenance work meets established quality and safety standards.
- Monitor compliance with operational procedures and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs for all equipment and systems.
- Prepare and submit reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and project updates.
- Assess existing maintenance procedures and workflows.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
