Head of Grid Solutions – Malaysia & Singapore

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will lead the Grid Solutions Malaysia and Singapore team. Together with your team, your responsibilities include achieving business targets with focus on profitable business growth and excellence in project execution. Additionally, you will actively contribute to Grid Technologies’ growth strategy and play a key role in developing and implementing country strategy by coordinating / aligning with Grid Technologies Sales, Service teams, SE Hub Management and Business Development.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the country organization Malaysia & Singapore, develop and manage relationships with key customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure successful project execution by supervising project management strategies, methodologies, and standard processes. Lead all aspects of the planning, execution, and delivery phases, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy’s strategic goals and customer requirements.
  • Lead and develop the workforce by implementing effective training and development programs, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness. Promote a culture of business excellence, continuous improvement, and employee engagement while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Understand market dynamics and competitor positions to derive suitable strategies, identifying business needs and innovative approaches to maintain and grow market share.
  • Develop and implement Global & Regional growth strategies for Grid Solutions in Malaysia & Singapore, focusing on achieving top and bottom-line targets through operational efficiency and project success.
  • Demonstrate a ‘safety first’ approach by instilling a Zero Harm culture within the team, ensuring all operations and projects comply with organizational and regulatory safety requirements.

What You Bring

  • Strong technical knowledge and operational experience in execution of turnkey solution projects in the energy sector, preferably within transmission.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management or consulting with a focus on project execution.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven track record in managing teams, driving change, and building sustainable, high-performing teams.
  • Outstanding ability to manage relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments / objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges and driving operational success.
  • Excellent business insight with a solid, hands‑on approach to operational management and project execution.
  • Dedication to environmental, health, and safety standards as a core value.
  • Flexibility to travel locally and internationally as needed to support business and customer requirements.
