Overview
This position requires understanding the factors for the gap term within the Metal / Coating industry. The role involves working closely with Sales, Warehouse personnel and other division production Planners to meet customer demand. The position also seeks ways to minimize production time and costs, efficiently organize the use of resources and maximize efficiency in the production line(s).
Responsibilities
- Communicating and collaborating with other departments, such as other division of Production, Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse / Logistic, to meet the customer specifications and deadlines;
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of the production, including fabrication, machinery, and processing;
- Develop and maintain an effective master production schedule according to the sales orders requirement, material availability, production capacity, etc.
- To align every Production Line(s) / Workstation(s) to operate at optimum level;
- Developing and implementing improvement strategies and best practices for the production division such as reducing costs, increasing productivity, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- To forecast production output accurately for the next 2 weeks based on Job orders / Safety Stock Levels;
- To come up with solutions to mitigate deviation from plan;
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.Typically, 2–5 years of working experience in production planning, material planning or capacity planning in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, others)Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflowsGood communication and interpersonal skills – able to liaise with production, sales, logistics, warehouse etc.Able to work under pressure to meet on-time delivery targets#J-18808-Ljbffr
