What’s the job?
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Zurich Group Compliance frameworks across Asia, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.
- Oversee compliance for the global sanctions screening team and Travel Guard’s service center in Kuala Lumpur.
- Provide strategic compliance support to regional leadership and functional teams across Asia.
- Coordinate with local Heads of Compliance in key jurisdictions including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and China.
- Support global partnership deals and NAC initiatives from a compliance perspective.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage compliance through controls, training, and governance.
- Design and execute regional assurance plans, including monitoring, testing, and reporting.
- Advise on conduct risks related to products, distribution, and marketing.
- Present compliance reports to boards and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Audit, and other assurance functions to ensure integrated governance.
Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience in financial services and regulatory compliance across Asia, ideally within travel insurance.Deep understanding of regulatory environments in Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong.A degree in law, business, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications are highly desirable.Proven ability to lead regional compliance initiatives and influence across complex, matrixed organizations.Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across cultures and seniority levels.Experience in sanctions screening, transactional compliance, and cross-border partnerships.High integrity, collaborative mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Why choose us?
