At least 1–3 years of experience in customer support, helpdesk, or technical support roles. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (Ivanti or ServiceNow). Basic knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and IT troubleshooting principles. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Overview
Join to apply for the IT Support Specialist role at Comet , located in Penang, within the Group Functions area. We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology, contributing to safer, more efficient, and more sustainable production, mobility, and communication. In Group Functions, we support the market-oriented divisions with central services, collaborating with customers and maintaining high quality standards.
What You Will Do
- Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, or ticketing systems in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide first-level technical support and helpdesk assistance for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Log, track, and manage helpdesk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution. Assist users with password resets, software installations, account setup, and system access.
- Monitor system performance and notify IT or engineering teams of any irregularities or outages.
- Identify recurring helpdesk issues and work with IT or product teams to implement permanent fixes.
