Job Description – Chef de Partie
The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Job Description :
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within the assigned section to the highest standards.
- Supervise and train junior staff (commis and trainees) in daily operations.
- Ensure quality control, portion consistency, and timely service.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and report shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the section.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu planning, specials, and new recipes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Handle kitchen equipment responsibly and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist other sections when required to maintain smooth kitchen workflow.
Job Requirements :
Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a professional kitchen.Certificate / Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training.Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge preferred).Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Good leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for cooking.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
