Sales Engineer – Drilling & Electrical (Oil & Gas)

Identify and pursue new business opportunities for drilling equipment, tools, and related services.

Build and maintain strong relationships with drilling contractors, service companies, and operators.

Develop sales strategies to increase market penetration within the upstream oil & gas drilling sector.

Responsibilities

• 2. Technical Consultation — Understand customer drilling requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Provide technical support during client discussions, tenders, and product demonstrations.
• Familiarity with Petronas Technical Standards (PTS), API, ASTM, and ASME drilling-related standards will be an advantage.
• 3. Proposal and Quotation — Prepare and deliver proposals that meet technical and commercial requirements.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and OEMs to confirm accurate pricing, specifications, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely and competitive submission of quotations for tenders and direct enquiries.
• 4. Market Research and Analysis — Monitor drilling market trends, competitor products, and customer demands.
• Gather and report customer feedback for continuous improvement and product development opportunities.
• Identify upcoming drilling projects and opportunities through industry research and networking.
