Job Summary
As a pivotal member of our IT team, you will be the primary owner of all sales data, responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights and ensuring the reliability of our sales database systems. Your work will directly empower the sales team with accurate, timely reports and dashboards, while your DBA skills will maintain the integrity and performance of our critical data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain daily and monthly sales reports, dashboards, and KPIs using tools such as Power Query, SSRS, or Excel.
- Extract, transform, and analyze sales data from CRM, ERP, and other business systems.
- Implement and manage rigorous validation processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports.
- Automate report generation and distribution to stakeholders.
Database Administration (Intermediate DBA)
Perform SQL Server database maintenance, including backups, indexing, and performance tuning.Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for reporting and data extraction.Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues.Process Improvement & Automation
Identify opportunities to streamline sales reporting and data processes.Develop scripts or workflows to automate repetitive tasks.Adapt quickly to fast changes in the business and sales force structure to ensure reporting remains accurate and relevant.Work with sales operations to enhance data collection and reporting efficiency.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for sales applications (e.g., CRM, CPQ).Assist in user access management, basic configuration, and data integration between systems.Job Requirements
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).Proven experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a strong plus.Hands‑on experience with SQL Server database administration tasks : backups, restores, index management, and performance monitoring. Experience with other RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is beneficial.Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, VBA) are advantages.Soft Skills & Experience
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both technical teams and non‑technical business stakeholders (the sales team).Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, identify the root cause, and provide long‑term solutions.Must be specific and diligent about sales data accuracy and integrity.Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast‑changing sales environment.A proactive, challenge‑seeking team player who can manage multiple priorities effectively.Preferred Qualifications
3+ years in a combined role involving data / reporting and database management.Experience supporting sales applications and CRM systems.Knowledge of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.Education & Certifications
