Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Catering Operations leads catering activities at operational, tactical, and strategic levels, covering meal supply, warehousing, preparation, logistics, loading, and offloading. All operations must comply with MAG, MAG CS, regulatory bodies, airline policies, standard operating procedures (SOP), and service level agreement (SLA).

Key Accountability

Operational Execution

• To lead and strategize overall operations and administration of the department in the most cost-effective manner (track spending against planned budget) within the approved budget through effective resources (manpower, facilities and processes) planning, management and collaboration with other relevant departments in accordance with set departmental goals.
• Formulates, implements and monitors appropriate policies and procedures to develop and improve day-to-day operations, safety, security and quality of service.
• Ensure that departmental administrative matters are managed according to departmental and company policy and procedures.
• Manage crisis within the catering operational area in ensuring the operation execution is being maintained at the level best and minimum impact, adhering to safety and security policy and delivering the expected standard.
