Technical Sales Engineer (Water and Wastewater Technologies)
Industrial Water Engineers (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Water & Wastewater Technologies) to join our team in Shah Alam. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and participation in industry event.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Application teams to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and solution demonstrations aligned with customer needs.
- Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand technical needs and recommend effective solutions.
- Conduct site visits to collect technical data and assess plant conditions to proposal development.
- Present technical features and commercial benefits clearly and persuasively to clients.
- Provide end-to-end technical support during the sales cycle, including consultations, issue resolution, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with project teams on site issues and troubleshooting when required.
- Prepare and review technical proposals and quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Work with internal teams to align technical and commercial proposals, supporting sales targets.
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities.
- Support marketing initiatives such as catalogues, presentations, trade shows, and exhibitions.
- Prepare and submit monthly sales forecasts, activity reports, and project updates to management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, or related discipline).Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical experience in the industrial water or wastewater treatment sector.Sales experience is an advantage, but technically strong candidates without prior sales exposure are encouraged to apply — training provided.Ability to manage cross-functional tasks, including client communication, process design coordination, project execution, and commercial follow-up.Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and negotiation abilities.Organized, disciplined, and able to work independently and in teams.Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a strong advantage.Must possess own transport and a valid driving license.Willing to travel locally on short notice and overseas when required.Position is based in Shah Alam, Selangor.If you are excited to be part of a dynamic and innovative company in the water and wastewater treatment industry, we invite you to apply and take the first step toward a rewarding career with Industrial Water Engineers (M) Sdn.
