Shipping Executive

Penerangan pekerjaanAssist in sourcing and negotiating freight rates to ensure cost efficiency. Support in preparing logistics costings for new business prospects. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes. Assist in ensuring compliance with Food Safety Management System (FSSC) and ISO requirements. Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. At least 2 years of working experience in shipping, logistics, or related functions. Good knowledge of import / export regulations, LMW compliance, and customs requirements. Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and logistics systems / software. Able to work independently and as part of a team. What you'll be doing
- Manage and prepare import / export customs declarations and necessary documentation, including permits, FTAs, and COOs.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and customs to ensure timely vessel booking, clearance, and delivery.
- Monitor and manage shipping schedules for export and import shipments.
- Support reverse logistics processes such as returns, repairs, and maintenance.
- Liaise with government authorities (LMW, MITI, etc.) to ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to LMW regulations and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with Sales and Purchasing divisions to manage and maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Oversee proper filing of shipping documentation for audit purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.
- Keep updated with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and industry best practices.
- Submit reports to authorities within deadlines.
- To undertake other related job as directed by immediate superior from time to time.
