Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Direct Health Care

Provides care to the students and staff who need emergency care due to injury or who present with an acute illness.

Assists with the development of school emergency response plan for emergencies and disasters.

Monitors and checks the adherence to health standard when providing food to students / staff.

Verifies that school policies and procedures meet the legal and regulatory statutes and ethical standards of nursing practice.

Addresses potential health problems and develop, implement plans, and evaluate response to health interventions.

Monitors immunizations and reports communicable diseases as required by law.

Review immunization records for compliance to state laws and school policies.

Assesses the physical environment of the school to improve health and safety.

Prepares and check the first aid kits for each building in the school.

Health Awareness.

Provides training to the staff to respond appropriately emergencies.

Plan and implement programs and activities that promote health awareness.

Provides health information to assist students and families in making health-related decisions.

Plans, implements, and supervises school health screening programs in accordance with state requirements and recommendations.

Prepares and present reports about the health status, conditions, and achievements'.

Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :

Diploma / Bachelor degree in nursing.

At least two years' experience in nursing.

Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint).

Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
