Job Purpose
Manage a portfolio of impaired cases under the Development Finance Business ("DFB") of MIDF Berhad and execute the process management efficiently and effectively with the prime objective of :
i. Maximising recoveries in a timely manner;
ii. Reducing impaired ratios appropriately; and
iii. Ensuring the adequacy and timely impairment provisions.

Financial Performance
Develop and manage the credit quality assurance process and plan to maximise the collection of the impaired portfolio given / assigned :
- Continuous engagement with customers / guarantors on repayment, settlement and resolution of impaired cases.
- Ensure active management of impaired accounts, conduct debt rehabilitation / settlements on an ongoing basis with customers / guarantors and ensure that actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Ensure the implementation of the approved financing rescheduling / restructuring in a timely manner based on the agreed terms.
- Proactive and diligent management of the impaired portfolio to improve the recovery rate through timely review and analysis of the course of action to be taken.
- To remain vigilant in identifying adverse signs / red flags that may potentially further cause asset deterioration / loss and to recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Ensure all tangible security(ies) are adequately insured, all quit rent and assessment in relation to landed properties held as security(ies) are duly paid in order to protect the asset(s) of the Bank and maximise the value of the security(ies).
- Ensure proactive impairment assessment on the impaired portfolio and work closely with Finance / Risk Management / Bank Operations / Business Division.
Customer / Franchise Growth
Engage with fund providers, the Government and its agencies, etc. and maintain a good rapport.Establish good relationships with other joint lenders as well as external parties such as the Receivers and / or Managers, solicitors, etc. to achieve the highest recovery rates, ensure expeditious resolution of legal cases and quick filing of legal action with the objective of maximising settlement / recovery.Ensure to meet the expected services under the Service Level Agreements ("SLA") are met.Internal Process
Ensure the day-to-day operations are effectively and efficiently implemented and conducted within the framework as laid down in the policies and procedures / as agreed by the Management :Ensure documents / folders in OneDrive / SharePoint are updated / kept / maintained properly.Engage and follow up with the external parties,i.e. solicitors, agents, receivers & managers, liquidators, auctioneers etc., etc., on litigation and recovery works.Attend to requests from external parties.Attend Creditors' Meeting, Public Examinations of bankrupts / wound-up companies, etc.Carry out factory visits and attend public auctions as and when required.Carry out site visits to customers' premises in accordance with the needs and requirements.Attend to Takaful / insurance matters.Attend to Guarantee Claim matters.Attend to periodical reviews (including FRA CDD Assessment) accordingly.Prepare proposal papers (i.e. restructuring / rescheduling / request / etc.) for approval or noting.Prepare the workings for impairment provisioning.Prepare remarks and updates for the Non-Performing Financing and Arrears Committee ("NAC") Report.Prepare a write-up for any write-off proposal.Prepare annual budget.Controls / Risk Management
Upholding the highest standards of integrity and good governance.Conform to MBSB Group's internal procedures and requirements as well as the Bank's statutory guidelines and regulations on all remedial works and recovery plan of impaired portfolio under DFB.Development
Training development to achieve the required results.Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor and / or by the Management.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Finance, Economics or relevant fields.Experience in the banking / financing sector.Knowledge of litigation procedures / laws and receivership / liquidation work is a value-added criterion.Fresh Graduate or 1 year of experience is preferable.Skills
