About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior / Finance Executive to join our dynamic team at EBC Financial Group. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to strategic decision-making. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis while driving process improvements to support the company's growth.

Job Responsibilities :
Senior Finance Executive
- Manage the full set of accounts including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliation and Intercompany Balance.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and adjustments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) / IFRS.
- Perform variance analysis (budget vs actual), trend analysis and cost analysis to provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Handle corporate tax computation and submission (Form C, CP204, PCB, SST, Withholding tax); liaise with LHDN, RMCD, and external tax consultants on queries.
- Coordinate and prepare the annual statutory audit, prepare audit schedules, resolve auditor queries, and ensure accurate financial disclosures.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal governance.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and supporting schedules prepared by Junior staffs.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and financial modelling for management decisions.
- Participate in system implementation, process improvement, and automation initiatives (e.g. BI tools).

Finance Executive
Financial Operations
Manage the day-to-day invoice processing of Account Payable (AP) including receiving, reviewing and processing of invoices from vendors.Responsible for the daily reconciliation between existing PSP.Review petty cash claim and monitor petty cash usage.Review staff reimbursement processes accurately and efficientlyPerform the day-to-day processing of Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.Responsible for AP and AR-related accounting, including bank account reconciliation and posting transaction recording.Ensure all the financial documents are organized and archiving.Other tasks assigned by Team LeaderFinancial Reporting & Month-End Closing
Handle full set of accounts and month-end closing in a timely manner.Perform daily accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliation, journal postings, and intercompany reconciliations.Assisting with the preparing of month-end closing account and financial statement.Assisting with the preparing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for management review.Prepare necessary documents for audits, including tax computations.Maintain proper documentation and filing for all accounting records.Other tasks assigned by Team LeaderJob Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Professional Qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA).2-7 years of progressive accounting experience handling a full set of accounts.Strong knowledge of MFRS / IFRS and SST regulations.Audit or financial services industry experience is preferred.Familiarity with business intelligence and analytic tools (Tableau, Power BI, Python) is advantageous.Solid understanding of tax compliance, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements.Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional standards, and audit requirements.Able to work independently and manage tight reporting timelines.Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
