Key Responsibilities
- The role holder has to develop an understanding of the market opportunities, implement strategies and bring communications and marketing expertise to deliver business objectives that are aligned with the markets’ corporate plan, Group CABM strategy and brand guidelines.
- Contribute to overall CABM visions / priorities.
- Work with the functions’ country / cluster Heads and Management Teams to manage and implement key projects and strategy changes across the Bank.
- Engage with regional peers in the industry and other sectors.
- Deliver an integrated communications and marketing strategy that drives the business strategy, brand promise and strategic intent of the Bank in Malaysia, leveraging various communication channels.
- Execute consistent CIB marketing campaigns to reinforce the Bank’s branding across the different business segments in Malaysia and provide oversight to ensure consistency in partnership with stakeholders.
- Work with the Cluster CABM Head SG / ASEAN and the regional CIB Marketing team to optimise budgets and timelines.
- Marketing – work in partnership with WRB Head in Malaysia to manage the WRB Marketing budget and deliver on campaigns, and group WRB marketing head and business stakeholders to ensure all segment and product campaigns have a business focus aligned to full year strategic priorities.
- Grow wealth and affluent brand awareness and consideration through brand campaigns and segment / product campaigns.
- Strategise and deliver quality marketing activities to drive exceptional client experiences utilising the right media assets and platforms with optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategise and deliver quality sponsorship and community investment initiatives to augment the Bank’s presence in the markets and drive commercial activation (CIB & WRB businesses).
- Develop the team to build capability and ensure delivery of the function’s objectives.
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values, setting appropriate tone and expectations from their team and working in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing development of people.
- Employ, engage and retain talent, with succession planning for critical roles.
- Demonstrate shift towards anticipation of risk.
- Provide leadership around Risk Management, both reputational and operational, to ensure they are proactively identified and mitigated in country and all issues are reported / escalated in line with Group and local policies and procedures in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership and co‑ordination of issues and crisis communications to the functions at country level.
- Work with the Cluster CABM Head to manage key projects and strategy changes that need to be implemented / communicated across the Bank.
- Manage resources to budget and implementation of CABM comms and marketing plans.
- Lead for delivering governance, issues and risk (operational and reputational) and oversee the governance standards across for CABM in Malaysia.
