The Senior Pre-Sales Solution Engineer will be responsible for working closely with the sales team to understand customer business and technical requirements, and to design effective, scalable IT solutions focused on Acer and Altos branded hardware and solutions. This includes properly sizing hardware and system resources, architecting client-server solutions, and ensuring proposed solutions align with customer needs, technical feasibility, and best practices. The role will bridge the requirements of technology and the business teams, ensuring solutions are robust, cost-effective, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the sales team to engage with customers, understand their business and technical requirements, and translate them into viable IT solutions.
- Architect end-to-end client-server solutions involving servers, desktops, laptops, and relevant IT infrastructure to support Acer and Altos software solutions.
- Conduct hardware and system sizing to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare solution proposals, architecture diagrams, bills of materials (BOM), and technical documentation to support sales activities.
- Present solutions to customers, addressing technical queries and concerns to build trust and confidence.
- Work with internal stakeholders (sales, delivery, and support teams) to ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to post-sales execution.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, vendor products, and industry trends to provide customers with innovative and competitive solutions.
- Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos, and technical workshops as needed.
- Ensure compliance with vendor certifications, product knowledge, and solution design standards.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or systems architecture.Strong knowledge of IT hardware infrastructure including servers, desktops, laptops, storage, and networking.Experience in sizing hardware for enterprise software solutions (e.g., SQL Databases, virtualization, client-server applications).Experience in setting up and managing Linux and Windows Server operating systems is a mustFamiliarity with virtualization, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure solutions is an advantage.Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.Vendor certifications (e.g., from Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, VMware) are highly desirable.Strong problem-solving and solution-orientation mindset.
