SG Support Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We are seeking a highly driven and self-motivated Business Development Manager , preferably based in Malaysia, to help SG Support expand its presence within and beyond Asia. Initial market focus for this role will be Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia & New Zealand and the United States. This role will report directly to the Executive Management Team.

SG Support is a full-service donor management agency that helps non-profits build sustainable giving programmes for predictable income and long-term impact. We enable transformational change for charities and the causes they champion through data-driven strategy, donor care, and secure payment solutions that make fundraising easier and more effective.

  • Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue by acquiring new clients and build strategic partnerships.
  • Proactively identify and qualify new sales opportunities through targeted market research and competitive analysis.
  • Promote and sell the company’s service offerings, whether individual solutions or the full suite, based on identified client needs and market insights.
  • Support and drive geographical expansion into new markets.
  • Lead the end-to-end business development process, from identifying opportunities and shaping proposals to securing client agreements and long-term partnerships.
  • Represent SG Support with professionalism at external meetings, networking events and conferences.
  • Deliver accurate pipeline reporting and support financial gating processes in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Establish a centralised lead generation pipeline tool and optimise opportunities with lead generators.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to support strategic decision-making and refine SG Support’s GTM approach.
  • Present regular progress updates to the Executive Management Team, highlighting challenges, risks and opportunities.
  • Market & Stakeholder Focus

  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, manage multiple markets, service pillars, and stakeholder demands effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong communication and relationships with key stakeholders across SG Support and client networks.
  • Work with the marketing team to strategise potential new products and pricing and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Ideal Candidate Profile

    Language Skills

  • Mandarin and Cantonese proficiency is highly desirable and advantageous.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development and client acquisition within marketing or services industries across multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing a strong pipeline.
  • Background in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments preferred.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is an added advantage.
