JOB SUMMARY
As the Head of Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives for BookXcess across both headquarters and all retail outlets. This role is pivotal in shaping the brand's voice, driving customer engagement, and contributing to the overall business growth.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY
- Develop and implement comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategies that align with overall company objectives and drive both HQ and retail business growth.
- Oversee all marketing efforts for BookXcess retail outlets nationwide, ensuring alignment with brand standards, promotional calendars, and customer engagement objectives.
- Lead efforts to expand BookXcess’s social media presence and reach, strengthening brand awareness and customer engagement across all major platforms.
- Conduct SWOT analyses and market research to uncover new marketing opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends, particularly within the book and retail sectors.
- Lead the planning, allocation, and management of budgets for all marketing campaigns, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business targets.
- Conceptualise and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, content, events, in-store promotions, and traditional channels.
- Collaborate closely with retail operations and outlet teams to identify and support location-specific marketing initiatives and footfall-driving strategies.
- Champion in-store customer experience initiatives, retail promotions, and engagement campaigns to enhance brand loyalty and conversion.
- Develop and manage partnerships, sponsorships, and event collaborations to elevate brand presence and attract new customer segments, especially at outlet and mall level.
- Work with internal and external partners to conceptualise and execute marketing activations and on-ground events at BookXcess outlets, aligned with seasonal campaigns and business priorities.
- Lead the go-to-market marketing strategy for BookXcess BookBot machines—including deployment plans, brand positioning, promotional campaigns, and revenue contribution goals (e.g. deploy XX BookBots across Malaysia and Singapore by end 2025, contributing RMXXX in Malaysia and SGDXXX in Singapore).
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics across all marketing platforms, optimising campaigns based on data insights and KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, events, and technology teams to ensure unified messaging and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Safeguard brand consistency and positioning across all communication touchpoints, both online and offline.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
