The Talent Acquisition Senior Executive / Assistant Manager is responsible for driving the full recruitment lifecycle to attract, assess, and hire top talent across all Gambit Group entities. This role plays a key part in building a strong employer brand, ensuring an efficient hiring process, and partnering closely with department heads to meet business manpower needs in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment
Manage the entire recruitment process from manpower planning, job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, to offer management.
Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements and design effective sourcing strategies.
Coordinate with the Internal Compliance Department for employment verification of criminal records, credit checks, and AML / CFT screenings.
Prepare and update job descriptions for new and existing roles.
Manage candidate pipelines and ensure timely follow-ups and feedback.
Sourcing & Employer Branding
Utilize multiple sourcing platforms (JobStreet, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, universities, etc.) to attract suitable candidates.
Build and maintain a strong employer brand presence through creative campaigns and social media content.
Develop and maintain relationships with universities, training institutions, and recruitment partners.
Participate in job fairs, internship programs, and employer branding initiatives.
Interview Coordination & Selection
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Conduct initial HR screenings to evaluate suitability, attitude, and cultural fit.
Ensure interview evaluations are collected and documented for decision-making.
Support management in salary benchmarking and offer proposal preparation.
Recruitment Reporting & Compliance
Maintain and update recruitment trackers and headcount reports.
Prepare monthly hiring dashboards and analytics for management review.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with internal policies and relevant employment regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information.
Process Improvement & Projects
Review and improve recruitment workflows to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
Support implementation of HR systems or tools related to recruitment and onboarding.
Contribute ideas for improving talent attraction, retention, and engagement strategies.
Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, background screening, or compliance-related functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and digital document management.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Good understanding of Malaysian Employment Act requirements.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
High integrity, responsibility, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
