Position Objective : Responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of our product management functions. Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing complex fund submissions for new fund establishments and applications, and driving operational excellence. Requires a high level of leadership, strategic acumen, and accountability to deliver impactful results and support the organization’s growth and regulatory compliance objectives.
1. Regulatory and Fund Submission Management :
- Lead all matters relating to the submission of new funds for Securities Commission (SC) authorization and Bursa Malaysia approval (where applicable).
- Oversee the preparation and submission of fund documents, including prospectuses, deeds, and product highlight sheets, ensuring timely compliance.
- Manage all aspects of replacement and supplemental offering documents and deeds, including due diligence procedures.
- Handle submissions for exemptions or variations from regulatory guidelines and requirements.
- Provide expert advice and consultation to the Internal or Sales Department regarding regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements for existing and new products.
- Coordinate and prepare responses to industry or regulator consultation papers, surveys, and inquiries.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and regulatory authorities on product-related matters.
2. Product Development & Market Intelligence :
Conduct research on new funds, distribution channels, and market opportunities domestically and overseas.Study industry and market trends to identify opportunities and develop innovative business solutions.Collaborate with investment and relevant stakeholders on themes, ideas, and strategies for funds and new business initiatives.Identify and analyze product and sales trends regionally and domestically, conducting peer analysis to evaluate performance drivers.3. Sales & Marketing Support :
Provide training and technical support to sales teams on new and existing product propositions.Assist in marketing efforts, including pitching, roadshows, and client presentations.Prepare periodic market updates, articles, and relevant promotional materials to support sales initiatives.Support sales queries related to product features, markets, and technical aspects.4. Product & Business Strategy :
Develop and support product solutions, particularly focused on non-discretionary offerings for High-Net-Worth individuals.Execution of new ideas and closing product gaps within the portfolio.Work with the Head of ICH to establish and enhance the Wealth Platform, ensuring product offerings align with client segment needs.Drive business growth by identifying opportunities within the NDPM segment and broader asset management landscape.5. Operational Excellence & Compliance :
Ensure all fund-related documents and website content are compliant and up to date.Oversee the review and update of relevant company websites and marketing materials.Provide fund information support to front-line teams as needed.To perform any other related duties that Management may require from time to time.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree and / or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.Eight (8) years of experience in product management and fund submissions to regulatory authorities.Demonstrates sensitivity and the ability to meet tight deadlines effectively.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong cultural sensitivity and the ability to manage relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.At AHAM Capital, people are its greatest assets.
