Proposal Engineer

Penerangan pekerjaanLiaise with internal departments (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Operations) to gather relevant inputs for proposals. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and partners for quotations and technical submissions. Act as the focal point between the client and the company for clarification requests during the tender process. Provide technical clarifications during pre-bid meetings and negotiations. Assist in drafting technical and commercial deviations when required. Support the Business Development team with proposal presentations to clients. Maintain a library of proposal templates, standard technical write-ups, and past submissions for future reference. Track and update tender status, submission records, and outcomes. Continuously improve proposal preparation processes and tools. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or related field). 2–5 years of experience in proposal / tendering roles, preferably in construction, energy, or engineering industries. Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract terms, and commercial conditions. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project (or equivalent), and basic CAD tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines under pressure. Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy and compliance in all submissions. Time Management – Handles multiple bids and meets strict deadlines. Collaboration – Works effectively across departments and with external partners. Commercial Awareness – Understands cost structures and market competitiveness. Proactivity – Anticipates client needs and ensures proposals are aligned with strategic goals. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a Proposal Engineer to join the team. The proposal engineer will be responsible for preparing high-quality technical and commercial proposals and tender submissions in response to client requirements. This includes analyzing tender documents, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, commercial terms, and company policies. The role requires attention to detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Tender Preparation & Submission
- Review, analyze, and interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify technical and commercial requirements and prepare compliance matrices.
- Prepare and compile proposal documents including technical write-ups, method statements, schedules, and commercial offers.
- Ensure proposals are complete, accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines.
- Prepare cost estimates and pricing structures in coordination with the Finance / Estimating teams.
