A global engineering consultancy firm specializing in planning, designing and providing construction solutions for township development, civil construction and infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
This leadership role oversees strategic direction, operational execution and business development for the Malaysian operations and advising on significant operational or business growth opportunities in the construction & infrastructure sector in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Management
- Lead the daily overall operational performance of the company.
- Contribute to company strategy and annual business planning.
- Evaluate growth opportunities based on the trends in the construction and infrastructure industry in Malaysia.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Clients, Project Partners, Contractors, Subcontractors) across the construction and infrastructure industry.
- Secure new tenders targeting land / township development or infrastructure such as roads, earthworks, retaining structures, drainage, sewerage, water reticulation and even power distribution projects.
- Identify high-potential project opportunities and secure new tenders / contracts that promote expertise in providing comprehensive planning, design and construction solutions.
- Promote brand visibility and prepare business proposals.
- Demonstrating competence and responsibility for all company project site performance and engagement.
- Proactively communicating on the issues and needs of the project.
- Identifying and reporting failures and improvements needed at project site.
- Manage contracts, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and subcontractors.
- Identify internal recruitment needs and growing the team when needed.
- Uphold HSE standards and quality policies in line with Malaysian regulations.
Qualifications
A Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).Minimum 10 years’ experience within urban development and infrastructure-type projects.Seniority level
