Provide professional counselling sessions (individual / group) to assist students with problems and concerns in the areas of academic, career and personal matters.
Promote counselling and support services to improve students’ emotional health and wellbeing.
Conduct career and psychological wellbeing assessment procedures (where appropriate) for the wellbeing of students.
Plan, promote, organize and / or conduct student development programs / workshops on areas relevant to students.
Prepare reports and maintain records of counselling cases, safeguard confidentiality of students’ information.
Support in student crisis management when the need arises.
To assist in administrative duties for Student Services Department.
Other projects or duties as required from time to time as directed by the Management.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST possess a Degree or Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or its equivalent.
Preferably candidates with minimum 1 - 2 years of related working experience in the education industry, especially those with experience working with young adults.
MUST be a certified counsellor, registered with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
Has outstanding communication skills - both written and oral Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Comfortable in dealing with students from different cultural backgrounds.
Good communication skills and high emotional intelligence abilities.
Excellent planning, observation, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
