About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRBP, the Assistant Manager, Engagement & Learning & Development (L&D) is responsible for driving a culture of continuous learning, growth, and employee engagement across the organization. This role focuses on identifying current and future skill requirements, designing and implementing flexible learning interventions (including digital solutions), and supporting the professional development of employees at all levels. In addition, the role plays a key part in enhancing employee experience by developing and executing initiatives that boost engagement, strengthen workplace culture, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose.
Employee Engagement (E&E)
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies that support business and cultural transformation from startup to global operations, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and company vision.
- Design and execute engagement programs based on annual budget and monthly milestones that promote employer value proposition.
- Plan and deliver satellite Employee Engagement (E&E) initiatives across Novugen's operational sites such as employee wellness programs, townhalls, teambuilding, recognition campaigns, etc.
- Facilitate periodical engagement huddles or surveys (e.g. pulse checks, annual engagement surveys, open dialogue, focus group sessions), analyze results, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop targeted action plans.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to design internal and social media communications, posters and announcements that build awareness and participation in engagement activities, using multiple channels to reach a diverse employee base and workforce population for employer branding.
- Integrate engagement elements into training programs and career development frameworks.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets related to engagement activities, ensuring cost‑effective and impactful program execution.
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on employee engagement KPIs for management review.
Learning & Development
Developing and implementing learning strategies and programs that are aligned with the organization’s objectives.Embracing and implementing various types of training (i.e. of coaching, e‑learning, classroom training, job‑shadowing, and workshop).Facilitating learning interventions to drive culture of continuous professional development.Designing a range of learning interventions, including technical, behavioural and leadership programmes.Carrying out capability assessments across the organisation, evaluate individual and organisational development needs.Assessing the success of development plans to keep optimizing using metrics to track the effectiveness of training programs.Help managers develop their team members through career pathingTrack budgets, negotiate contracts, maintain collaborative relationships with vendors and consultantsHandle and responsible for HRDF grant and claim submissionPrepare L&D reports as when requiredAny other ad hoc tasks assigned by the management
About you
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiences in Human Resources, General Business Management, Marketing, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, or related field.Minimum 3 – 5 years for Assistant Managerial level. Proven experience as an Employee Engagement (E&E), L&D practitioner, Training Manager or similar.Latest knowledge of E&E and know how in effective program design and delivery. methodologies, trends, etc.Strong intrapreneurial skills and mindset from start up to established organization.Versatile and resilient, ability stay positive in high‑ and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results.Data‑driven decision making (especially for engagement surveys).Strong networker, resourcefulness and drive.Excellent communication and negotiation skills with sharp business acumen.Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to vendors.Proficient in MS Office, HRMS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).Seniority level
