Head Of Operations

Overview Develop and implement operational strategies for Maintenance and Site Acquisition aligned with company goals.

Ensure achievement of KPIs including tower uptime, PBT Lamp Pole (LED) efficiency, cost efficiency, and site rollout timelines.

Establish SOPs and quality standards to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Management : Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of telecom towers, PBT Lamp Pole (LED Light) and other related infrastructure. Ensure network availability and minimize downtime through proactive asset management. Monitor performance metrics, vendor SLAs, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Site Acquisition & Rollout : Lead the end-to-end process of site acquisition for new towers co-location, including negotiations with landlords, local authorities, and regulators. Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and safety requirements in site development. Drive timely site rollout to meet project delivery schedules and customer expectations.

Financial & Resource Management : Prepare and manage budgets for Maintenance and Site Acquisition operations. Optimize resource allocation, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency. Monitor contractor / vendor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality delivery.

Stakeholder & Client Management : Build strong relationships with mobile network operators (MNOs), regulators, landlords, and local authorities. Address client escalations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Represent the Operations division in internal and external meetings.

Leadership & People Development : Lead, coach, and develop the Operations team (Maintenance Engineers, Site Acquisition Specialists, and support staff). Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and succession planning.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Telecommunication, Civil, Electrical) or equivalent; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA) is a plus.

20+ years of experience in telecommunications or wireless infrastructure operations.

Specific experience with tower operations : maintenance, structural assessments, environmental / safety compliance.

Strong leadership / people management skills.

Budgeting & cost management.

Planning, scheduling, prioritization of activities across many sites / projects.

Communication & stakeholder management (with regulatory bodies, carriers, vendors).

Problem-solving & decision making under uncertain conditions.

Possesses a valid driving license (D / DA).
