Role Purpose :
This role must collaborate closely with various teams across multiple locations in KL and HK, with primary focus on managing high-level payroll functions, emphasis on daily payroll responsibilities, HR-related matters, HR systems, including (but not limited to) recruitment, training and development, staffing issues, benefits administration, HRMS implementation and the streamlining of administrative procedures.
Necessary skills for the role :
- With 8-10 years of solid HR hands-on and payroll administrative experience
- Experience in using Human Resources Management System (HRMS) software
- Experience in hiring and managing Foreign Workers
- Occasional traveling to project site
- Detail-minded and well-organised with strong numerical sense
- Must have good PC skills to include all MS Office products
- Independent, flexible, self-motivated and positive
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and ability to communicate Cantonese is highly valued due to close liaison with Hong Kong teams
Impact and Key Deliverables :
Primary focus and responsible for monthly payroll including day-to-day payroll activities, final payment and tax reporting for hourly, daily and monthly rate staff.Ensure the payroll process is accurate and in a timely manner.Responsible for full spectrum of HR functions including Recruitment & Selection, Compensation & Benefit, performance management and HK payroll etc.Manage full-cycle recruitment for skilled tradespeople, project managers, and administrative staff.Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training programs tailored to construction jobsite safety and compliance.Assist in implementing and reviewing comprehensive compensation and benefit programs.Oversee performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary actions with fairness and consistency.Developing and enforcing office protocols to streamline operations and ensure compliance with organisational policies.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws (e.g., OSHA, EEO, FMLA).Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and licensing for skilled tradespeople.Lead safety initiatives and support the company’s health and safety compliance efforts.Oversee training, talent development, manpower planning, and employee engagement initiatives.Work closely with stakeholders on different HR projects.Handle ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned.Key Competencies :
