Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Purchasing and Logistics Associate with 8+ years of experience in the furniture industry. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement and logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and compliance with trade regulations. The ideal candidate will also contribute to profitability and project analysis, and be proficient in using Malaysia's ePCO Portal for trade documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
Purchasing :
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for furniture materials (e.g., wood, metal, upholstery) and finished products.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier contracts, and cost analysis submissions.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to align procurement with product specifications.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Logistics :
Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including sea and land freight.Handle customs clearance and ensure compliance with import / export regulations.Manage logistics documentation including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.Resolve shipping delays, damages, and discrepancies.ePCO Portal Management :
Apply for Certificates of Origin (CO) via Malaysia's ePCO Portal.Submit Cost Analysis (CA) and manage product classification under relevant HS codes.Upload and manage trade documentation for preferential tariff claims under FTAs.Track application status and ensure timely endorsement and compliance with MITI regulations.Profitability & Project Analysis :
Conduct cost-benefit analysis for procurement and logistics decisions.Support budgeting and forecasting for supply chain-related projects.Analyze supplier pricing, freight costs, and inventory turnover to identify savings opportunities.Collaborate with finance and operations teams to evaluate project viability and ROI.Prepare reports and dashboards to support strategic planning and performance reviews.Inventory & Systems :
Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock level planning.Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage procurement and logistics workflows.Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably in the furniture industry.Proven experience using the ePCO Portal for trade documentation and CO applications.Strong analytical skills with experience in profitability and project analysis.Familiarity with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin / Cantonese
