Overview
The HR Executive will support the Assistant Manager, Human Resources, in the effective execution of HR operations, policies, and procedures. The role is responsible for handling recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, training, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements. The HR Executive will work closely with site and head office personnel to ensure smooth HR functions across all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Staffing : Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, shortlisting, and onboarding.
- Payroll & Statutory Compliance : Prepare and verify monthly payroll data (attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions) for submission; Ensure timely compliance with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRD levy, and other statutory contributions; Assist in employee claims processing and benefits administration.
- Employee Relations & HR Operations : Support the Assistant Manager in handling employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters; Draft HR letters such as appointment, confirmation, warning, and termination letters; Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR filing system.
- Training & Development : Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating training programs; Liaise with CIDB, HRDCorp, and training providers to ensure compliance with construction industry training requirements; Maintain training records and staff competency matrix.
- Performance & Compliance : Support the implementation of performance appraisal exercises; Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed across project sites.
- General HR Support : Provide HR support and advice to project site personnel and line managers; Assist in HR-related reporting and data analysis for management review; Support HR projects and initiatives assigned by the Assistant Manager.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction industry.Knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act, and other statutory requirements.Familiar with payroll process, HR systems, and statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDCorp).Experience in ISO audit preparation and HRDCorp training claim will be an added advantage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with site personnel and management.Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle confidential information with integrity.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.Competitive salary with annual performance bonusStaff training & career development opportunitiesFriendly and supportive work environmentApplication Questions
