Role Description
Key functional role which reports to Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Lead, who represents all corporate affairs related matter and government relations engagement activities.
Support external and internal corporate affairs (CA) plan and ensure smooth implementation of respective activities that create awareness and understanding of Pfizer through enhancement of its image in leading conversation within the pharmaceutical industry. The CA Plan encompasses corporate citizenship, CSR, policy and company-wide driven projects
Responsibilities
- Corporate Affairs – Provide key supporting roles to ensure successful implementation of CA activities to consistently maintain and enhance corporate image and visibility. Build knowledge and understanding of Pfizer and its positions on issues and viewpoints on policies to external and internal stakeholders. This will effectively support CA team and organization in the preparation of internal or external corporate events. Support creative development of key internal and external CA collateral e.g. fliers, email invitation, slide presentations for meetings / events and corporate leave behind material. Play integral role in directly assisting the Corporate Affairs and Government Relation Lead in the management of crisis and issue
- Government Relations – Support in the preparation of official letters and emails for stakeholder engagement. Extend executive support in the full preparation for external executive level meetings through seamless logistic arrangement and collateral preparedness. Take direction from Lead and Manager in preparing and documenting talking points reflected in the Executive Briefing Documents. Build and maintain good relationship with the executive support team from key parliamentarians, government policy makers and policy advocates at the state and federal government offices. Act as a liason with support team from the coalitions / trade associations / societies
- CSR – Co-implement comprehensive CSR activities that position Pfizer as a responsible corporate citizen. Assist in the successful implementation of corporate philanthropy and community projects. This include Pfizer's Care-A-Van and Malaysia Health Fellowship. Support in the management of past, existing and new CSR partners which is not limited to local community groups, patient support groups, religious groups etc. Collaborate with other business units to coordinate structured cross-divisional approach to corporate citizenship. Support in processing contributions to local bodies requesting for funds and seeking partnership that promotes a win-win situation for both parties. Monitor media publicity programs to enhance public awareness on company initiatives, hence effectively build and maintain network and alliances with media partners
- Product – Extend support to CA team in the implementation of Corporate Affairs projects to reshape policy for innovative medicines (especially for new launches) via strategic, robust corporate activities involving disease awareness campaigns, therapeutic area awareness program and brands initiatives that position Pfizer as a responsible corporate citizen
- Operations – Support CA team regular engagement platforms such as onboarding, National Sales Conference, OWN IT and corporate website to assimilate Pfizer's corporate values. Act as co-department champion for MAPP and CA SOPs. Assist in effective management of team calendar, expenses and internal meeting. Good upkeeping of CA stores and collaterals. Maintain strong governance of record keeping
Qualifications
Bachelor in any science related degree with preference for Pharmacy or Pharmacology or Biomedical SciencesDegree in Mass Communication or Public Relations or Public Policy is most welcome to apply, however with a minimum of 2-year experience in health-related industryExperience in corporate affairs between 2 – 4 years with solid track record in preparation of Senior Visits and External Meeting, external events organization and PR activitiesA solid command of English and Bahasa Malaysia with excellent communication and writing skillsUpkeep with IT dynamics and social media savvinessExperience
Possess understanding of pharmaceutical business and related healthcare policiesStrong organizational skill, results-orientated, resourcefulness with ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and deliver in a fast-paced environmentGood interpersonal skill, able to quickly build and maintain relationships with inclusivityJob Type : Contract

Pay : RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
