The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for leading GBR Group’s strategic expansion across Southeast Asia , driving market growth, and building sustainable business partnerships.
This role focuses on identifying and securing new opportunities , developing market entry strategies , and managing partnerships across key countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines .
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in international market development , strong commercial acumen , and the ability to navigate diverse cultural, business, and regulatory environments . A deep understanding of the FMCG, Health & Beauty industries , along with regional market dynamics, is essential for success in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Market Entry & Expansion
- Develop and implement effective market entry and expansion strategies in Southeast Asia, aligned with GBR Group’s corporate objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market research on consumer behavior, competitive trends, pricing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify potential markets and evaluate feasibility for new product or brand introductions.
2. Business Development & Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and secure high-impact partnerships with distributors, retailers, resellers, and B2B clients.Build, manage, and nurture long-term relationships with key business partners across the region.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and distribution terms to ensure profitable growth and mutual value creation.Lead commercial negotiations and close deals to expand market share.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Finance, Supply Chain, and Legal) to ensure successful go-to-market execution.Monitor sales performance and regional KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals.4. Market Representation
Represent GBR Group at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and credibility.Strengthen the company’s presence and brand reputation in key Southeast Asian markets.5. Performance Management & Reporting
Track and analyze sales pipelines, deal progress, and overall business performance using CRM and reporting tools.Provide management with insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Relations, Marketing, or related fields (MBA preferred).7–15 years of relevant experience in Business Development or Regional Expansion , preferably within Southeast Asia.Strong exposure to the FMCG, Beauty, Pharmaceutical, or Retail industries.Proven experience in launching and scaling products or services in new international markets.Well-established network with regional distributors, retailers, and regulatory authorities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinker with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.Fluent in English ; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia / Indonesia, Mandarin, or Thai is an advantage.Willingness to travel extensively within Southeast Asia.Navigating diverse cultural, legal, and regulatory environments across Southeast Asian markets.Building strong brand recognition within a highly competitive FMCG and beauty landscape.Balancing regional market adaptation with corporate strategies.Developing sustainable partnerships that drive long-term business growth.Managing cross-border operations while maintaining strategic alignment with headquarters.Achieving short-term sales targets while driving long-term regional expansion initiatives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
